Service Technician

About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for responding to various service calls and supporting customers directly on-site.
From preventive maintenance to emergency service calls, this role involves travelling to customer locations to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial air compressors and other compressed air system equipment. Due to the nature of the position, a service vehicle is provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform start-ups, preventive maintenance, and required servicing on industrial air compressors and other compressed air system equipment
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls related to equipment malfunctions
- Diagnose issues to determine the nature and extent of failures and identify the required repairs
- Perform testing to ensure equipment is operating properly
- Respond to customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction before leaving the site
- Follow all health and safety standards related to the role
- Support the overall efficiency and success of the Service Department through additional related tasks as needed
Working Conditions
- A rotating on-call schedule is in place for emergency service calls; candidates must be available for evening and weekend on-call rotation with other technicians
- This role requires physical capability to perform the work, including climbing ladders, lifting heavier objects, and completing other physically demanding tasks as required
Qualifications
- Technical diploma in Electromechanics of Automated Systems or Industrial Mechanics (a combination of both is considered a strong asset)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role or related technical field
- Knowledge of pneumatic components is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
